# Risk and responsible use

Understand the limits of an alerts service before treating a notification as a trading decision.

Degen's alerts-only product provides market information. It does not know your full financial circumstances, manage your account, or make a decision for you. This guide is educational and is not personalised investment advice.

### An alert is not a guarantee

A market can move against an observation, change direction suddenly, or move before you see the message. The displayed target and invalidation are analytical references, not executable guarantees.

The CFTC warns that virtual-currency speculation can be high risk, leverage amplifies gains and losses, and no trading strategy guarantees a return. It is not an endorsement of Degen or a statement of which laws apply to you.

### Costs and timing matter

A successful alert outcome is not the same as a profitable transaction. Your own entry, exit, fees, spread, slippage, funding costs where applicable, and position size can produce a different result.

Do not treat an old reference price as an available price. Do not assume a stop shown in Telegram has placed a protective order on an exchange.

### Information can be incomplete

Data sources, network connections, hosting, reporting, and Telegram delivery can experience problems. A working menu does not certify every component. No uninterrupted-service guarantee is made in this guide.

If a message is stale, internally inconsistent, or missing important context, do not fill the gaps with assumptions. Review it or report it.

### Keep control of your use

Start by observing examples and outcomes. Do not feel obliged to respond to every alert or to recover a previous loss through the next one. Take a break when notifications feel urgent or stressful.

Use only products and risks you understand. The LONG and SHORT labels do not recommend a leverage level or tell you to use a particular exchange. Eligibility and product availability must be checked for your circumstances and location.

### What membership does not buy

Membership is access to the stated information service—not a promise of income, capital protection, a particular accuracy, or a successful next trade.

Read **Performance and methodology** before interpreting any performance claim. A disclaimer cannot repair inaccurate data, misleading presentation, or an undocumented method.
